Justin Timberlake has launched his forthcoming album “Man of the Woods” with a forest-themed party where guests were served insects as hors d’oeuvres.
The “Cry Me A River” singer debuted his new record at a listening party for music industry insiders, journalists, and American Express cardholders at the Skylight in New York City’s Clarkson Square on Tuesday.
Justin pulled out all the stops in giving lucky guests the full forest experience – even serving up bugs including grasshoppers and ants as appetizers.
The 36-year-old musician is hosting another exclusive listening event on Wednesday, and has given fans an early taste of his new tracks by releasing a short documentary on the making of the album.
Describing the record in the promotional film, Justin spoke about how he wanted to return to his Tennessee roots and “mix it with something modern”.
The full record debuts next month, ahead of the singer’s Super Bowl half-time show.
